Fantasy Football Rankings Defense Tiers
Tier 1- The best defenses
These are the defenses that will be taken early. You’re going to want to play them against almost any other team. Maybe look out for Kansas City, but basically every week starting defenses.
Tampa Bay
Baltimore
LA Rams
San Francisco
Tier 2- Still talented, could be tier 1
This group is also loaded with talent, but there are some questions. Minnesota was awful last year, but basically their entire starting defense was out last year. Cleveland has lots of talent on the defensive line and in the secondary. New England and New Orleans have been good in the past and should keep the ball on the ground a lot.

Tier 3- Later round starters/streaming options
Why is everyone so high on Pittsburgh? I’ve read most experts have the Steelers in tier one. I may be way off, but I see them struggling this season. I’d let another team overdraft the Steelers. The other teams have some talent and should be attractive based on matchups. Indianapolis and Denver have a lot of defensive talent, but can their offense hold onto the ball?
