Green Bay Packers

Nick Herbig – Wisconsin EDGE

Herbig is one of the nation’s best pass rushers. When lined up in a 2-point stance, he is very explosive. This allows him to effortlessly run the arc and get around blockers. Additionally, he does a good job of keeping his pad level low so he can perform a rip move to get to the QB. His high motor allows him to make plays all around the field even though he is a smaller linebacker. Herbig could replace Preston Smith in a season or two and would surprisingly be available in the 3rd round.

Trey Palmer – Nebraska Wide Receiver

Palmer is one of the best slot receivers in the draft. He is very quick off the snap and is a gifted route runner. Additionally, his speed and agility allow him to shake defenders at the top of his route stem. He is also not scared to make catches in the middle of the field. Pairing him up with Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs will give Jordan Love a very promising outlook. Nflmockdraftdatabase has him as the 141st-best prospect in the draft. Unless they draft a slot earlier in the draft, he would be a good pick in the 4th round.

Riley Moss – Iowa Cornerback

Moss and Kaevon Merriweather have been a very disruptive duo in the Hawkeyes’ secondary the past few seasons. He has incredible vision in zone coverage. When sitting in his zone he does a good job of letting the offense develop in front of him. This allows him to adjust his coverage and gain leverage on opposing receivers. In man coverage, he can mirror the receiver’s hips and track the ball deep down the field. Altogether, getting a player of his skill set in the 5th round would be amazing for the Packers.

Minnesota Vikings

Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson – TCU Cornerback

One of the biggest improvements the Vikings need to make is in their secondary. Who better to help than the player voted the best defensive back in the nation? Undeniably, Hodges-Tomlinson is the most athletic corner in this draft. He has elite speed that allows him to stay with any receiver in the nation. His fluid hips allow him to stay glued to receivers in the middle of the field. Although he is a smaller corner, he has the skill set to match up anywhere on the field. Since he is a smaller corner, he will likely fall to the 3rd round. If you ask me, that is very good value.

Jake Haener Fresno State Quarterback

Over the past few seasons, there have been questions surrounding Kirk Cousins’ future in Minnesota. Since they are not in a position to get a top QB in the draft, why not get the best sleeper QB? Additionally, Haener was the MVP of the Senior Bowl where he showed off what he brings to an NFL team. When in the pocket, Haener shows a lot of poise to work through his progressions and navigate away from pressure. The only long-term concern surrounding his game is his effectiveness deep down the field.

Another DraftDive Analyst Jonah had this to say about Haener, “I’m higher on Jake Haener than just about anyone. I don’t think he’s the best quarterback in the draft, but he’s currently in my top 5 quarterbacks list. He’s in the 2nd to 3rd round for me“. Although Jonah is higher on Haener than most people, he will likely go in the 4th round.

Owen Pappoe – Auburn Linebacker

Pappoe’s draft stock has gone down since last season, but he would still be a valuable pick. He is very athletic and can effortlessly chase down ball carriers in open field. Additionally, Pappoe also has a very good understanding of gaps and coverage assignments.  He does still has some developments to make, but he would be a good day-three pick.
