1. Jacksonville Jaguars

DE, Aiden Hutchinson-Michigan

Aiden has been the clear cut number one choice across the many mock drafts out there. It’s not much of a shock, as he is such a game changing player at his position. After releasing Myles Jack, the Jaguars need to fill the end position.

2. Detroit Lions

DE, Travon Walker-Georgia

Travon’s stock has been rising in the past couple of months due to his play and his combine performance. Detroit has lacked a solid pass rusher since Ansah left town years ago. Walker can be a good fit in Dan Campbell’s culture.

3. Houston Texans

OT, Ikem Ekwonu-NC State

The Texans have now moved on from Deshaun Watson and now need to focus on building around 2nd year quarterback Davis Mills, who put up a pretty impressive rookie season despite the lack of talent surrounding him. The best way to rebuild is to take one of the best linemen in the draft.

4. New York Jets

CB, Ahmad Gardner-Cincinnati

The Jets need to get themselves a number 1 lock down cornerback, similar to the Darelle Revis days. “Sauce” is the best corner in this year’s draft and can be a top corner for many years to come for the Jets.

Oregon Ducks Defensive End

Oregon Ducks edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux (5).

5. New York Giants

DE, Kayvon Thibodeaux-Oregon

The Giants are starving for talent and when they pick up a pass rusher in the first round, they usually strike gold. Kayvon is one of the top players in the draft, though there have been questions about his true desire for football. Watching him play shows he loves the game, and I believe he will show it in the Big Apple.

6. Carolina Panthers

OT, Evan Neal-Alabama

The Panthers can go a number of different directions with this pick. I’m sure they have looked deep into the quarterbacks this year. I think the better option for them would be to take one of the many great offensive tackles on the board. This will help solidify the offensive line for years to come.

7. New York Giants

OT, Charles Cross-Mississippi State

It seems like the Giants have been trying to solve their issues on the offensive line for many years now. Charles Cross is a very solid lineman that can be a day 1 starter on their line. They need to get Barkley some room to run the ball, or it will continue to be a rough year for the G-men.

8. Atlanta Falcons

WR, Garrett Wilson-Ohio State

With Calvin Ridley being suspended for the entire year and the loss of Russell Gage to Tampa, the Falcons are in dire need of firepower on the outside for Marcus Mariota to throw to this season. Garret Wilson is the best overall receiver in this draft and should have an immediate impact.

9. Seattle Seahawks

S, Kyle Hamilton-Notre Dame

The Seahawks seem to be heading towards a retool after dealing Russell Wilson to Denver. They received a bunch of picks to help that rebuild along with this pick. I expect the Seahawks to begin retooling their team rather than a full rebuild as they still have many talented players. I think they should take the best safety on the board here to team with Jamaal Adams in the back end. Hamilton should be a day 1 starter.

10. New York Jets

WR, Drake London-USC

The second pick for the Jets in the top 10 should go towards building around Zach Wilson. Give him a solid receiver to throw to in Drake London who has been neck and neck with Garrett Wilson as the best receiver in the draft.

11. Washington Commanders

2022 NFL MOck Draft pick 11 Matt Corral

Ole Miss Rebels QB Matt Corral (2).

QB, Matt Corral-Ole Miss

Finally at pick 11, I have the first quarterback coming off the board. Many would think Pickett or Willis would be the first off the board, but I believe that Corral is the best QB in the draft. Washington needs to find an answer for the position as they have missed on many in the past couple of drafts.

12. Minnesota Vikings

DT, Jordan Davis-Georgia

Jordan Davis is a freak of nature at the defensive tackle position. His stock rose after his incredible performance at the Combine. Minnesota has a big need in the middle of their defense that needs to be filled. Davis could fill that spot immediately and make a huge difference.

13. Houston Texans

CB, Trent McDuffie-Washington

The second pick for the Texans will add talent to a defense that needs it. Trent was very impressive at Washington and could be a day 1 starter at cornerback.

14. Baltimore Ravens

DE, Jermaine Johnson II-Florida State

The Ravens need to look at building their defensive line with a stud defensive end to help their pass rush. Calais Campbell is getting older, so it is time for the Ravens to start getting young talent, so their defense can remain ruthless as it has been throughout the years. I believe Jermaine Johnson can fit in well with the Ravens

15. Philadelphia Eagles

LB, Devin Lloyd-Utah

I believe the Eagles will go with a stud linebacker to fill the middle of their defense. However, it’s not out of the question that they will look to grab a receiver early as well, as it is another weak spot on the Eagles. Lloyd is a day one starter who should learn very quickly.

16. New Orleans Saints

OT, Trevor Penning-Northern Iowa

The Saints just acquired this pick from the Eagles in a blockbuster trade. I think they will use it to fill a now open spot on the offensive line with Armstead leaving for Miami. Trevor Penning will add a nasty streak style to the line and will be a day 1 starter.

17. Los Angeles Chargers

CB, Derek Stingley Jr-LSU

The Chargers have added a lot of players on defense as expected. But I believe it will continue into the draft. Derek Stingley is impressing teams and would be another solid piece to the rebuilt secondary of the Chargers which include Derwin James, Asante Samuel Jr, and newly signed JC Jackson.

Georgia Bulldogs DT Devonte Wyatt

Georgia Bulldogs DT Devonte Wyatt

18. Philadelphia Eagles

DT, Devonte Wyatt-Georgia

The Eagles need a replacement for the recently released Fletcher Cox. I believe Wyatt could eventually fill in this spot and give the Eagles a solid starter at the defensive tackle position.

19. New Orleans Saints

QB, Kenny Pickett-Pitt

Many mocks have Pickett, who I think is the most talented quarterback in the draft, going to New Orleans. I don’t see the Jameis Winston experiment going any longer after this year, so the Saints will grab their next franchise quarterback with this pick.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers

DE, George Karlaftis-Purdue

You can never have enough pass rushers and I think the Steelers will add a top pass rusher in this years draft. Heyward is not getting any younger and they will need to groom another rusher to go along with TJ Watt.

21. New England Patriots

WR, Jameson Williams-Alabama

Step one post-Brady era, find a new quarterback. In comes Mac Jones from Alabama. Step two post-Brady era, get your new quarterback weapons to throw to. In my opinion the familiar face for Mac Jones from Alabama should come into New England already having chemistry with his former quarterback.

22. Green Bay Packers

TE, Trey McBride-Colorado State

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t had a reliable tight end to throw to since Jermichael Finley was on the team. Trey McBride is clearly the best tight end in the draft, and I am shocked that many mock drafts don’t have him going in the first round. He is a tight end that can do it all, blocking, and catching.

23. Arizona Cardinals

WR, Treylon Burks-Arkansas

With Christian Kirk leaving the desert to join the Jaguars, the Cardinals need to find the next receiver to pair up with Hopkins on the outside. Burks is another in a long line of talented receivers in this draft that fill the spot for the Cardinals.

24. Dallas Cowboys

OT/G, Kenyon Green-Texas A&M

The Cowboys have had themselves a rough offseason losing Amari Cooper by trading him to the Browns and releasing Collins. They need to fill the spots on the offensive line by getting one of the top inside linemen in this draft.

Iowa State Cyclones RB Breece Hall

Iowa State Cyclones RB Breece Hall (28).

25. Buffalo Bills

RB, Breece Hall-Iowa State

The Bills are only one piece on offense away from elevating their offense to new heights. The running back position has been very inconsistent the past couple of years and that has put a lot more pressure on Josh Allen to get the job done. Adding the best running back in the class to your offense can help that. Hall said that he is the best back in the draft, and ever since then, he has shown that he is.

26. Tennessee Titans

G/C, Zion Johnson-Boston College

The Titans need to bring in a guy on their offensive line that will mesh with the physical culture that is already in place with the team. Zion Johnson will be able to do that and will help protect Ryan Tannehill.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

DT, Perrion Winfrey-Oklahoma

I think Tampa will look to add some relentless young talent to their defensive front. JPP and Suh are not getting any younger, which means they need a fresh body to build into their front. Winfrey, in my opinion, is underlooked and he showed flashes of greatness throughout the off season especially in the Senior Bowl.

28. Green Bay Packers

WR, Jahan Dotson-Penn State

The Packers are now in dire need of another threat for Rodgers to throw to after trading Davante Adams to the Raiders. Jahan Dotson is a very solid receiver that could fill that role of being the number 1 guy.

29. Kansas City Chiefs

DT, Travis Jones-Conneticut

Outside of Chris Jones, the Chiefs defensive line lacks some nastiness. Travis Jones out of UConn has shown plenty this off-season, especially at the Senior Bowl. He brings that type of play to a defense. He can be an immediate starter next to Jones on the line.

30. Kansas City Chiefs

WR, Chris Olave-Ohio State

The Chiefs are in a similar situation to the Packers where they traded their all pro receiver to another team, leaving a big hole at the receiver position. Olave is a top 5 receiver in this year’s draft and can be a big threat for Patrick Mahomes to throw to.

31. Cincinnati Bengals

C, Tyler Linderbaum-Iowa

The Bengals have spent the entire off season improving the offensive line to protect Joe Burrow. I believe adding Linderbaum, who is the best center in the draft, will be an important part of protecting the franchise quarterback after getting pummeled on their way to a Super Bowl berth.

32. Detroit Lions

QB, Malik Willis-Liberty

This is the Matthew Stafford pick the Lions received after trading him to the Rams where he took them to the promised land in one year. I believe they choose their next quarterback at this spot, as I don’t believe Jared Goff will be the long term answer. Malik Willis has very good arm talent, but will need to be groomed before he takes over.

Mock Draft by Keith Libby.
