Best Quarterbacks NFL Draft: Jonah Edition

Who are the best quarterbacks in the 2022 NFL Draft? Find out here. Sorry to the other writers on this site, but the world’s most handsome genius is back bringing his almost always right takes.

        1. Bailey Zappe, Western Kentucky

I know, I know, this is insane. I’m just writing a clickbait article with a shocking name at the top right? Wrong. I said I was going back and forth between Zappe and Corral at the top and I meant it. I just can’t shake the overwhelming feeling that Zappe will be the best quarterback out of this draft when we look back five years from now. It’s not even the video game numbers he puts up, it’s his leadership and winning mentality. He’s got average arm strength, but he’s accurate and he’s a winner. Like Ridder, he elevates the team as a whole. Unlike Ridder, Zappe leads teams like Houston Baptist within an eyelash of beating Texas A&M. Whatever “it” is, Zappe has it and a few years down the road everyone will be wondering why the quarterback who put together the greatest college football season ever was undervalued. Bank on it.

        2. Matt Corral, Ole Miss

I went back and forth on my number one and two rankings, but I decided to go with my gut. It’s been right a high percentage of the time and I’m not going to ignore it. Anyways, Matt Corral is a talented quarterback prospect. I’m surprised he’s not number one on most quarterback lists. He’s an athletic, strong armed quarterback who is accurate. I guess people don’t like him because he’s 6’0”or 6’1”? He’s a good prospect and if I wasn’t a little crazy he’d be my favorite quarterback this year.

        3. Sam Howell, North Carolina

Howell had a “disappointing” year this season, but did he? The North Carolina Tarheels lost a ton of talent from this past season and Howell was injured. Howell has a great arm, strong and accurate. Additionally, he’s a pretty good athlete, he can run and throw on the run easily. All due respect to North Carolina, but their football team isn’t that good. It’s very possible they drop back down to a two win team next year following Howell’s departure.

         4. Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati

Ridder is an excellent athlete who I believe became an excellent athletic quarterback this season. He always had the tools, but he put them all together in 2021 and took that important next step. Ridder has a strong arm, but needs a bit of work on his accuracy. He also elevated the Cincinnati Bearcats to a top four ranking, no small feat. Ridder played well himself, but also upped the play of his teammates. He’s a winner and a leader and I like that.

           5. Kenny Pickett, Pitt

The projected first quarterback off the board is my number five ranked QB. Pickett was really average for three years and good for one. Pickett has slightly above average NFL arm strength, nothing special but nothing scary. Really, his accuracy could use some work as well. He’s fine, but I don’t see why everyone is projecting him as QB1. He has a high floor and is the most NFL ready quarterback in the draft.

            5B. Malik Willis, Liberty

I had to get Willis in here because he’s such an interesting prospect. Cannon arm and elite athleticism, it’s easy to see another Lamar Jackson here. Willis is just so raw that I have some concerns. He needs to work on accuracy and reading defenses, pretty important traits for a quarterback. His tools are so fantastic though, I hope he goes to a good quarterback coach and is allowed to sit for a year. Seeing a polished Malik Willis is a mouthwatering proposition.
